I'm sure it's not hard to get that many shots with a choice of 12 or 20 fps. I'm sure I'm way over 50,000 by now, since i shoot like a demon. I just have not gotten around to doing it since I got my R5 on Aug 1 and haven't felt the need to get a shutter count yet. I have not done it yet for my r5, but I could go directly to the usb type c port or I could use a hub that has USB type C on one end and at least one USB type A port on it. I also have a iPad Pro that has a USB type C port. I have the USB-to-Lightning Adapter from Apple, so I used that on my iPad mini for all of my DSLRs that have USB ports, including the 1DX3 that I had on loan back in the summer. Since the camera is powered perhaps a USB-C to Lightning cable would also work. You can get a USB-A to USB-C cable from Amazon. What cable and adapter do you use to connect to your Canon cameras? I checked out that software and it states that you have to use a USB to Apple lightening adapter. Works great and supports both 1DX3 and R5. Not sure if there is a Mac version though. Shutter Count won't handle 1D3, but will work with the other two (according to their website).ĪPT (astro photography tool) does far more than you need but gives a shutter count for just about all Canon cameras and it is free. They update models very regularly and zero problems after many years of use. What shutter count software is suggested for the camera bodies below? Shutter count software for Canon cameras.
